Social Video Marketing – Blog Posts
A critical part of social video marketing is ensuring that you get your videos on blog posts. Along with your video it is important to include a narrative as the search engines do not understand the content of the video without it. Your aim is to ensure the search engines see the content as relevant to your keyword phrase and therefore raise the page rank of your target page.
Blogs are slightly different to article posts as you can include HTML tags and therefore create bold, italics, underlines, bullet lists, ordered lists and links within the content. As part of a social video marketing project there are a number of key factors that ensure the search engines find the content relevant.
Ensure that your post is between 300 and 600 words long.
Make sure the keyword phrase is in the title of the article
Place the keyword phrase in the first sentence of the article
Place the keyword phrase in the last sentence of the article
Place a related keyword phrase in a subtitle within the post
Underline your keyword phrase in the post
Embolden you keyword phrase in the post
Italicise your keyword phrase in the article
Throughout the post the keyword density must be between 3% and 7%. If there is too much keyword stuffing then the search engines will see it as spam, not enough an the relevance is not good enough.
Do put a link in the post to your target site and also to one of your other blog posts or videos on the same subject with a closely related keyword phrase.
Post to your own blog within your site and to one other location.
If you do all of these things then the post will be seen as highly relevant for your keyword phrase. This then massively increases the effectiveness of your social video marketing strategy.
